What if I told you that you CAN do things differently, even if you failed the first or second time and all you have to do is create a stronger WILL POWER. With that being said, let us wrap up the last two components of “The 5 Key to Success for Entrepreneurs.” The five factors include: Mindset, Humility, Action, Failure, and Will. If you have not read the first two blog posts from this series, I recommend you scrolling down and begin reading. And the reason being is that each component is in a particular order for you to be even more successful but if you have read the other blogs already then continue to follow along with me. The last two necessities that we will be focusing on today is failure and will. Failure is a test from life to see how STRONG your WILL POWER really is. If you have failed in your business or did not accomplished your goals and then started to quit already, then your WHY is not strong enough to encourage your WILL power. Also, later in the post, I will share why Michael Jordan connects to this post. In conclusion, your failure and will power are in congruent to one another. One of this biggest names in the business world and most influential person in my life, Robert T. Kiyosaki, best selling author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” quoted:
“Winners are not afraid of losing. But losers are. Failure is part of the process of success. People who avoid failure also avoid success.”
Who here has failed? I going to go ahead and be upfront about this, EACH AND EVERY SUCCESSFUL ENTRPRENEUR out there has failed many, many, many times so don’t fucking beat yourself up for it. And if they said they have not failed then they are not being honest. Because in life, you will fail but that is your stepping stone to success. In life, I strongly agree that in order to win some, you got to lose some. Failure is a perspective. You could either learn from it or bitch and complain which will not lead you to anywhere productive. Successful entrepreneurs love failing because they see that if this doesn’t work out, something else will. I know failing can suck but don’t let it take away your sprit and let you forget your WHY. Your spirit and your WHY is in your control. As for your spirit, your spirit meaning the energy that makes you move and reminds you of your WHY. And for your WHY, I am going to explain a little bit of this because I want to create a whole article for this subject but for your WHY. The WHY is the reason you do the things that you do and this is what keeps you pushing yourself, especially when shit is going down hill and you live in fear and doubt. The WHY is going to help you be motivated and thrive in your business. If you have failed and notice that the word is past tense, meaning it is in the past so why live in the past. No one is living in the past, we are here in the present. Like I said before, life is moving forward. And besides, you can’t go back to the past but you CAN always move go forward. With that in mind, there is a reason why I chose a picture of Michael Jordan for this post. Jordan is one of the best basketball players of all time and known world wide. He has not only build a legacy in basketball but build legacy for his name, leading him to become an influencer for everyone who wants to take charge of their life with humility, honor, and respect. Michael Jordan stated:
“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
You can take any situation in life with a frown or a smile and Michael Jordan took his failings and made himself a better player. To name a few, he won “Most Valuable Player” awards five times and “NBA Finals Most Valuable Player” awards six times.
Not only does this show that failing lead to his success but convey his WILL POWER to keep practicing, learning, and pushing to reach to the top.
Moving on to the last key factor to becoming more successful in your entrepreneurial journey, will. A line that really resonates with me is that if there is a will, there is a way. People who don’t succeed in their business or accomplish their goals is due to the fact that there will power is not powerful enough to move them. The definition of will power is having a strong determination that allows you to do something difficult that is not always in your comfort zone. If you are not where you want to be right NOW, ask yourself this: how DETERMINED are you? Are you doing everything you need to do to get to where you want to be? Are you joining mastermind groups? Look people wish a lot of things and I am going to tell you this, stop saying I fucking wish this or that and start saying I WILL be fucking this and that. A key point of having a powerful will power is being able to be disciplined. You have to discipline yourself to continue to do your grind. Peter Voogd, a successful entrepreneur and the author of the best selling book “6 Months To 6 Figures” preached:
“Your only real competition will always be the person in the mirror.”
So stop listening to the people who are bringing you down and hating on your hustle, use that in your advantage and boost your determination. I can’t stress this enough but you are responsible for your life and no one can make you more determined or create a stronger will power for you except for yourself. People can be a part of your WHY but if you depend on people to make you determined then you will always be dependent on yourself. I am not saying you can’t depend on people but I’m saying too many people depend on others and blame others for their life situations. I had it rough growing up but I didn’t let that stop me from reaching for success. I was ready and I was determined that I will do big things and motivate others. I have failed too just like Tony Robbins, Warren Buffett, Henry Ford, Grant Cardone, or Zig Ziglar.
In reality, moving from failure to success requires you to be out of your comfort zone. An exercise I would like for you to do is contemplate whether your WILL POWER is strong enough and if not, ask yourself HOW can you can strengthen your determination? There’s definitely more to explain about the the five key to success for entrepreneurs: Mindset, Humility, Action, Failure, and Will which I can share with you on a Skype call or one-one-one meeting if you are local.
So guys, don’t be afraid to fall down and if you do, bring yourself back up and keep it moving.
As for the next post, the article will center on your WHY and HOW it will be beneficial to your life and business.
